It's a good idea - I think even The Economist would be interested in it as it gives a better idea of relative wealth between countries.

Are you teaching any summer econ classes? Having a student or two get the figures for hourly wages at McD's and cost of a Big Mac might make an interesting intro to PPP and the like.
