Earthsea Serendipity

The SciFi channel is showing a miniseries entitled Legend of Earthsea over the next two nights.

I commented a while back on how I had rediscovered the beautiful writing in these books in a post entitled Dragonfly. I guess I'm not the only one to have noticed.

I am not holding out much hope that his miniseries will be very good. The executive producer is Robert Halmi Sr., who has produced some notable duds over the last several years.

If the miniseries lights your fire (and even if it doesn't), buy the books. They are a joy.
