Posner turned a nice phrase in his discussion of evolving sexual mores:
To the extent that as a result of economic and technological change, sex ceases to be considered either dangerous or important, we can expect it to become a morally indifferent activity, as eating has mainly become (though not for orthodox Jews and Muslims). [emphasis added]
You should read the whole thing, but the context was that sex had stronger taboos associated with it because it used to be a lot more dangerous (AIDS has nothing on syphilis), and it used to be more important (because adults didn't procreate for long, and many children died).
