In the winter, an unexpected knock on your door at 9:30 usually doesn’t bring good news.
This time it was the sudden passing of former neighbor, racquetball and tennis partner, and friend, Walt Marks.
He was old enough that this sort of thing happens, but to my knowledge there was nothing other than routine warning signs.

He had no kids to leave behind — that’s a positive today, but an overall negative that he didn’t talk about much.
I’m very sad for his wife Lorraine, he was the center of her world.
And I’ve owed him lunch over a hockey bet for a while …
