* Skunk cabbage is my old nemesis. When 7 or 8 I received a plastic sword. I charged down into the ravine in front of our house and attacked the biggest leaves I could find … skunk cabbage. The smell did wash off my sword, but the skunk cabbage has been safe from my ravages for 40 years or so now.
