The story you want is in lots of places, but I'd start with Wikipedia. I don't agree with her positions, but it's a pretty standard story of someone whose very talented along a number of different dimensions.
I do wonder about the judgement of someone with brains and looks ... whose first instinct as an adult it to try Hollywood.
