Obama’s Syria policy is that, having maybe used chemical weapons, and definitely having a lot of bodies, that Syria should hand over its chemical weapons.
You know when a reasonably organized criminal kills someone they don’t like, they leave the gun behind.
A criminal does this because why should they carry the evidence around when they can always get a new one?
The gun is merely a vector for the ill intent they may still carry.
And then we have Obama’s Syria policy: the bad guys killed someone, but didn’t leave the weapon behind … so they’ve asked them to turn it in.
Of course, when you think about it, this policy makes perfect sense if you think guns kill people instead of people kill people. In that world, turning in the gun solves the problem. So for Obama, having chemical weapons is the problem — not the interest, will, or intention to use them.
