« George Carlin: When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops | Main | Media Bias About Oil Reserves »

Harsh? This post isn't harsh. If you want harshness (or just plain holiday induced mean-spritedness), we should make our aid conditonal on having been a member the coalition of the willing. We could have Dr. Rice going around in her first official act as new Sec of State (she could be a recess appointment if I'm not mistaken) on a "You were there when we needed you, so we're here when you need us" tour.

If my policy is adopted it looks like the Maldives will be getting the bulk of our aid.

State deparment's list of areas affected:

Whitehouse's list of countries' statements of support for our action in Iraq.

I think I touched a nerve!

I'm all for labeling today's leaders who have not joined the "coalition of the willing" when it is reasonably proved that the Iraq invasion was a good idea. At a minimum, that will be several years down the road.

I'll put up a new post offering some perspectives on punishment.

One reason I'm glad for the Bush victory: the Republicans have total responsibility for Iraq, so however it stands as 2008 comes around they can have most of the credit or the blame. Five years should be enough time to begin making an assessment.

"These aren't policy experiments ... or differences of opinion ... or local ideas for local societies ... they're crimes against humanity."

Thanks for that.
