Well, it's multi-core CPUs running multi-process operating (Windows XP on up, for instance) that are at hazard, not the old familiar most of us grew up with. MS-DOS and Windows 98 running on an Intel 8088 CPU or even a Pentium 2 ought to be quite safe.

Now if we can get Facebook to run on a first generation Nintendo playstation ...
