Chelsea Clinton has been accused by a mob of inciting the ____ attack in Christchurch. I left the blank because I’m not sure what to call this yet … “creedist” maybe.
Students blasted Chelsea Clinton at a vigil at New York University for the 49 worshipers massacred at two New Zealand mosques …
“This right here is the result of a massacre stoked by people like you and the words that you put out into the world,” senior student Leen Dweik chided Clinton …
“I’m so sorry you feel that way,” Clinton … responded, prompting other students to chime in.
“What does ‘I’m sorry you feel that way’ mean? What does that mean?” a person shouts from the crowd.
The backlash was in response to Clinton’s blasting of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota) …
“We should expect all elected officials, regardless of party, and all public figures to not traffic in anti-Semitism,” Clinton tweeted on Feb. 10.
Rose Asaf, who posted the video, tweeted: “People haven’t forgotten the Islamophobic mob she incited against @IlhanMN. There is no sense of responsibility.”
I think “I’m so sorry you feel that way” means:
- CC is sorry,
- That other people feel the way they do.
It couldn’t be much clearer.
The participants in the mobs are increasingly unhinged and untethered to reality.
