Poor Editing at the Washington Post

Not sure whether we should call this illiteracy or innumeracy

Admittedly, it’s a hard graph to interpret, and following the link helps, but it turns out it has nothing to do with the statement that the smoke is “… a thousand miles above the Pacific”. With this word order, a better choice for above would be “over”, and a best choice would be “across”.
